Vocational Training

The Job Training/Job Placement and Employment Counseling Program helps to increase the job readiness/employ-ability of low-to-moderate income individuals.  Our clients will successfully navigate the current job market, gain and improve skills needed, and achieve financial stability through long-term sustainable employment.

Employment Counseling

An employment counselor will assist clients in a one-on-one setting to identify career goals and to create a plan to reach those goals, preparing a path towards financial sustainability.

In addition to one-on-one employment counseling session with our vocational coach, CCC offers job training programs for applicants who meet all eligibility criteria:

Medical Business Office Professional (MBOP) Training

Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) Training

Child Development Associate (CDA) Training

MBOP

Are you exploring a career in the business office of a health care facility? This program will provide knowledge and skills that are required of clerical health care professionals. General topics include medical terminology, insurance verification, medical billing, and intermediate coding. When you have successfully completed this program, you will register to take the Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS) exam through the National Healthcare Association (NHA).

Training fee: $170 (not due at information session)

CNA

Do you have a passion for healthcare? This training prepares you for entry-level work in the field of nursing. You will gain the knowledge and skills to safely care for residents/patients/clients, in all health care settings. The training provides a special focus on safety, the rights of all residents/patients/clients, and the ability to function within a CNA’s Scope of Practice. This tri-level course includes theory, skills lab, and clinical rotation in a Long Term Care Facility. After successful completion, you are eligible to take the State of Texas Certification Exam.

CDA

Are you exploring a career in child development? This program will provide knowledge and skills that are required for early childhood education professionals. Some topics include creating safe and healthy learning environments, nutrition, cognitive development, communication and language development, social functioning, and program management.

When you have successfully completed this training program and practicum hours post-training, you will register to take the Child Development Associate (CDA) exam credentialed through Council for Professional Recognition.
