Adult Literacy      

Program Information

Adult Literacy Training offers

• ESL (English as a Second Language)
• ABE (Adult Basic Education)
• GED/ASE (Adult Secondary Education)

and includes Civic & Citizenship, Family Literacy, and Financial Literacy training. Students must be adults 18 years or older and are responsible for a low registration fee and the cost of books. Classes are FREE.

Semesters: Fall, Winter, and Spring. Each semester is 10 weeks long.

Courses offered: ESL Literacy, Beginning ESL, Intermediate ESL, Advanced ESL, ABE, and American Citizenship Preparation

Class Schedule: 9:00-12:00 AM, 6:00 to 8:30 PM.

Features: the largest literacy site, annual enrollment is about 1000 students. The site offers evening classes at most comprehension levels. Students attend class two or three times a week.

Sharpstown Community Center - Register Now

Courses offered: ESL Literacy, Beginning ESL, Intermediate ESL & Advanced ESL.

Class Schedule: 8:45-11:45 AM, 12:00-3:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Features: Offers intensive English classes with 15 hours per week. The site provides 4 semesters per year.

Goldberg Tower Apartments

Semesters: Two semesters a year, September to December / January to June.

Courses Offered: Multi-level ESL Classes.

Class Schedule: 12:30 to 2:30 PM & 2:30 to 4:30 PM, Monday & Wednesday.
