The one-on-one practice is applied for scheduled clients in terms of application documents preparation and application intake/submission for public benefit programs at Chinese Community Center. Documents and verbal translation are also offered during the assistance.
Group Applications Assistance
Clients with group by group and scheduled appointments are assisted with documents assistance and application intake/submission for the public benefit that they apply. Translation is also offered and this is regularly practice for all clients who are first-time applicant, want to re-apply or renew the benefit at our office.
Digital Skills Training
Digital training is one of extended services we would help neighbors who are limited in computer skills at Chinese Community Center. Participants attend the virtual training with the instructor and practice skills with step-by-step instructions. We also help on the live translation with bilingual program staff during the training for whom are limited in English.
Community Outreach
Every year, we come to Senior Apartments, Community Centers, Complex Buildings, Churches, Temples and other public places to help neighbors to perform the benefits counseling, application preparation assistance, fill-out and submit program applications. Translation with bilingual program staff is also provided during the outreach.
Benefits Counseling
Clients are consulted by program staff with public benefit information that they would like to apply. This is regularly practice for all clients who are first-time applicant, want to re-apply or renew the benefit through our outreach as well as at Chinese Community Center.
